About "The Downtowner"

Downtown Cleveland used to have a reputation of rolling up its sidewalks after 5:00pm. Not anymore. It's now home to 15,000 residents: a mix of millennials, college students, young professionals and empty nesters. More than a dozen new residential projects are under construction or are in the planning stages, and downtown boosters have set a goal of 20,000 residents by 2020. Is this new interest in downtown Cleveland a blip, or does it have legs? Who are the winners and losers as downtown Cleveland becomes trendy? What is the big, shiny vision of a revitalized Cleveland? Whose vision is it, anyway? What is the case for downtown living in a region that views the city with suspicion? Amy Eddings of ideastream and lifestyle blogger George Hahn, both downtowners, engage the curious at the intersection of urban policy and lifestyle.
