Aug. 14, 2017 (Cleveland) – Experts estimate that 80 to 90 percent of health emerges from environmental and social circumstances, such as neighborhood safety, poverty, health care access, air pollution, housing and education. To demonstrate the impact of community conditions on health in Northeast Ohio in a concrete way, ideastream reporters have been targeting specific regions to examine the driving factors behind poor health. A series of data-driven reports will air all week on various programs on 90.3 WCPN and WVIZ/PBS, in addition to online versions of each report.
