Forced From Home by War, Vietnamese Enrich Cleveland’s Culture

After the fall of Saigon in 1975 and the end of Vietnam War, thousands of refugees flooded from the small Asian nation to every corner of the United States – including Greater Cleveland. Today, those immigrants and their children form a vibrant piece of our region’s cultural quilt. Ideastream’s Rick Jackson looks at how they have adapted to their new home -- and how old divisions from Vietnam still remain.

Gabriel Kramer is a reporter/producer and the host of “NewsDepth,” Ideastream Public Media's news show for kids.
