Non-Profit Hospitals and the Health of Surrounding Communities

What role should hospitals play in improving Northeast Ohio's neighborhoods? Some argue that this is the best long-term way to actually improve health. On The Sound of Ideas, we'll discuss why community conditions, like safe streets and housing, are critical to health. Hospitals are starting to realize that to really get at the root causes of poor health, they must look beyond the doctor's office.
